A people’s language is the heartbeat of their culture. It is their way of seeing and making sense of the world.
As part of our effort to recover the past, we are hosting a series of Cherokee language classes for adults on select Saturdays throughout the year. We are pleased to welcome Ms. Lou Jackson, from Robbinsville, North Carolina as our instructor. Lou is a citizen of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indian (ECBI) in Cherokee, NC and is one of the few native speakers this side of the Mississippi. To indicate interest in attending, click here. Wado!
