Woodlands Gathering is a community creating a safe place for Native Americans and all people to encounter the Good News of God.
As many of you know, we were blessed with a building of our own in October 2021. Although we are extremely grateful to have a place to worship and do ministry, the building was built in 1949 and has many challenges.
We need to expand the main level of our sanctuary by 750 square feet to include two, upstairs ADA accessible restrooms, an office space and a pantry/storage space. The estimated cost of this project is $100,000. Currently the only available restrooms are located down a steep flight of stairs. For those with mobility issues the alternative access is via the outside wheelchair ramp, which exposes the person to the elements and weather, and through a door that is no wider than 31 inches.
The ADA minimum width of an accessible door for those in wheelchairs is 32 inches. This excludes many of our people from accessing the basic human need of a restroom and prevents us from being a safe place for all people to encounter the good news of God.
Join us in expanding our community Trailhead! You may make a pledge or give once. Your generous donation will help create a larger, more inclusive space for everyone to gather, learn, and grow. Let's build a brighter future together.
